SAIC introduces rugged display for shipboard use
By Joab Jackson
Science Applications International Corp. has released what it says is the first large-view display ever to pass military MIL-STD 901D testing. Specifically, the SeaView 57A passed MIL-STD 901D Class I, Type A, Grade A testing, which means it can withstand shock and vibrations without additional mounting and is reliable to such a degree that it can be used for essential duties.

SAIC will market the displays for mission critical tasks such as command and control management. The 57-inch liquid crystal display has a 1920 x 1080 resolution and feature picture-within-picture capability.
