FISMA ... Elementally

Elemental Security Inc. of San Mateo, Calif., just added a policy framework to its Elemental Security Platform that the company says will help agencies comply with the Federal Information Security Management Act. The framework is based on NIST Special Publication 800-53 and FIPS Publication 199. It integrates best practices for network access control and automated security policy management with NIST-recommended classification of systems and software inventory. ESP monitors policy compliance and reports on changes that impact an agency’s security posture.
