The Oki Data C7350n is relatively easy to set up and has a small footprint. Its also a quiet printer, which is nice. But this is probably not the color workgroup printer for you.

The C7350n is fairly speedy when printing text, finishing off our 30-page test document in one minute and 24 seconds. It was slower in graphics, predictably, completing that 30-page file in three minutes and 27 seconds.

But color accuracy was way off, except for images heavy in magenta hues (got a lot of purple you need to print?). The C7350n favors putting magenta on the page which makes red images look great, but pollutes all other colors.

Black line art, for example, came out with a slight reddish sheen and even a couple discernable red dots mixed into the matrix.

And when we tried to print a blue-scale image to check for color accuracy, many of the blues came out purple because of too much magenta. Its unfortunate because the shading was accurate; the color accuracy was off.

Wed almost say the C7350n would be good in text-only shops, but with the HP printer as good or better with text, and hundreds of dollars cheaper, its hard for us to recommend the Oki printer at all.
