Open-source cuts both ways

A recent survey of 218 civilian and military federal agencies found that 71 percent of information technology decision-makers believed their agencies could benefit from open-source software, and 55 percent already use it. However, it was interesting that security was cited as both a drawback and benefit to open-source.
