The Center provides leadership and support to Federal agencies in implementing Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. CITA is working with a governmentwide team and is leading multiple projects (Accessibility Forum, Buy Accessible Portal, Section 508 Agency Coordinators, Training, and Outreach) to help agencies comply with the Accessibility Standards issued in December 2000. In addition, GSA is planning a center to showcase assistive technology, accessible environments, services, and management practices. Our Mission: We provide policy leadership and expert solutions in services, space, and products, at the best value, to enable Federal employees to accomplish their missions. GSA supports Federal employees wherever they work; whether in an office building, a warehouse, a national forest, or a government car, GSA is there. In support of this mission, GSA provides workspace, security, furniture, equipment, supplies, tools, computers, and telephones.
